Provider volunteer help needed at Healing Hands Clinic in Blairsville

Posted over 10 years ago by Jill Nielsen

Local UAPRN members and followers please consider volunteering a few hours a month (or even every other month) to help staff the Healing Hands free Clinic in Blairsville. We are down to very for dedicated Providers to help staff this clinic. It serves hundreds of patients in our area who are without health insurance. Please see the announcement below and contact Sandy Sharrock directly to get your malpractice set up with the state (covered free for those that volunteer). This is a great way to give back to the local community.

Thank you,

Jill Nielsen

Dear faithful clinic providers,

Tom Swartz, PA is facing back surgery in early April. He will be out for several weeks – all of April and possibly May, depending on his recovery time. Tom has covered all Tuesdays and Saturdays when there is no other provider scheduled. We are in need of providers during this time so that we may continue to serve our patients. Dr. Wiles is covering Saturday, April 4 and Saturday, May 2. That leaves all the Tuesday evenings and remaining Saturdays in these two months without a provider.

Our Saturdays are the most critical. We can, if necessary, restrict Tuesday evening to just new patient triage and qualifying, however we do have a considerable number of patients who end up needing to be seen on these evening as well.

Please let me know if you can cover any dates in these two months. The staff and especially our patients will greatly appreciate your service.

Thank you,

Sandy Sharrock
