NURSING Presence NEEDED.....Road trip to Rome Monday Oct 30th anyone?
The Oct 30th of the Lt. Governor's Healthcare Reform Taskforce meeting (at Berry College in Rome GA) will have an presentation by Dean Lucy Marion of Augusta University School of Nursing on Barriers to APRN practice in GA and highlight what APRNs could do to help Georgians. UTILIZE APRNs...IMPROVE Access to Healthcare, UTLIZE APRNs....IMPROVE Georgia's Poor Maternal Mortality Stats. etc. We are working to shape a positive message that we will be repeating/branded as we push forward on removing barriers to practice.
Nursing Needs to have a visible presence at this meeting in order to have an impact. EVERY lobbyist involved in Healthcare in GA will be there. The Medical Association of Georgia will be there.
Please be there if you can share with your nurse colleagues!
